Drawing insights from a survey of over 700 college and university presidents, Academic Search has identified the key leadership traits essential for success in today’s complex and evolving higher education landscape. Understanding these competencies enables more effective leadership placements, enhances leadership development programs, and strengthens institutional resilience and community.
The study’s qualitative and quantitative methodology was developed and led by Jorge Burmicky, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at Howard University, and Kevin McClure, Ph.D., Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
