A cyber attack at William Jewell College led Conner Hazelrigg and Nick Gicinto to co-found Hilltop Technologies, addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities in higher education, non-profits, and small municipalities. Launched in 2024, Hilltop offers advanced Endpoint Detection and Managed Detection Response solutions. Partnering with William Jewell and SET University in Ukraine, Hilltop trains students through internships, combining academic learning with hands-on experience. The collaboration with SET supports 24/7 operations using Ukraine's cybersecurity expertise. Hilltop aims to expand this scalable model to other institutions, empowering students and enhancing global cyber defenses.
